The 24 Hour Company
The 24 Hour Company produces distilled, essential theater, challenging artists to perform under severe time and space constraints in "The 24 Hour Plays"-- a short play minifestival written, rehearsed and performed in a single day.

Afghanculturemuseum
Our organization has embarked upon the ambitious project of creating a virtual museum which will function as a kind of multimedia encyclopedia of Afghan civilization. With two primary aims : - To help Afghanistan reclaim its own history, and the dignity of its rich tapestry of civilizations. This will especially appeal to Afghan youth, offering keys to their identity, their pride of heritage, and their desire to rebuild their own future. - To enable a much larger public to discover one of humanity's most ancient civilizations, and its contribution to human history. This will be the world's first true "E-Museum", the only major museum which has no specific physical location. However, we have asked the world-famous, visionary architect Yona Friedman to design and "build" a virtual structure.

African Film Festival
For the past decade, the African Film Festival, a non-profit arts organization, has explored ways to introcude African film to American audiences, not only to develop a much-needed market for this growing body of work, but to open up a dialogue between artists and media professionals on the two continents. Through panel discussions and post-screening events where audiences and filmmakers meet, AFF offers opportunities for increased awareness of and interest in African culture through film and the development of new channels of distribution for African cinema throughout the US.

The American Center for Musical Arts
The primary mission of ACMA is to identify, train and present singers and musicians who have voices and talents suitable for dramatic opera repetoire, especially the works of Richard Wagner and Strauss, directed through the energy and movement of breath.

American Concern for Art & Craftsmanship
The American Concern for Art & Craftsmanship provides facilities and services for craftspeople and visual artists from the New York City area, including exhibition and meeting space and a resource center. ACAC also sponsors an annual crafts exhibition and sale at Lincoln Center.

An die Musik
An die Musik is a classical chamber ensemble with unusual instrumentation - piano, oboe, and string trio - and has been performing for 25 years in venues from the Merkin Concert Hall to the Kennedy Center. Our mission is to expand audiences for chamber music and include varying populations throughout the world. We have performed in German in Germany and Switzerland and are now translating our timeless tales into Spanish.

Art Catalyst usesd the power of the arts to educate, promote awareness and encourage social action.

Artmakers, Inc.
Artmakers is a collaborative artists' group dedicated to the creation of high-quality public art relevant to the lives and work of people in their communities. The group, formed in 1983, currently consists of seven artists from varied artistic and ethnic backgrounds who are experienced community muralists. They work both on individual and collaborative projects.

Arts of the Islamic World
The mission of Arts of the Islamic World is to present, support, and further educate about art from the Islamic world. This mission will be met through a virtual museum, public programs, public education, and exhibitions.

ASIFA-East
ASIFA-East is dedicated to the development, dissemination, and promotion of animation. It is the New York chapter of the International Animated Film Association (in France known as A.S.I.F.A., where the parent organization is chartered), which has chapters in over 25 countries. ASIFA-East members receive a subscription to a quarterly journal, free admission to ASIFA-sponsored Animation Festivals, and have voting privileges for the International Board of Directors.

Atrevete Flamenco Dance Theater of New York, Inc.
The purpose of Atrevete Flamenco Dance Theater of New York, Inc. is to create new works of choreography and dance theater focusing on the fusion of flamenco with other traditional dance forms such as ballet, modern dance, jazz and theater. Atrevete will create opportunities for Hispanic/American choreographers, composers, dancers, musicians and other performers. The goal of Atrevete is to broaden the accessibility of flamenco-inspired dance and dance theater to a diverse community through performance.

Avatar
Avatar was founded in 1983 to promote public art that encourages a broader vision and challenges the imagination; and that is collaborative, participatory and site-responsive. Recent projects by Hera, an environmental artist/sculptor/design artist, have included "Orbital Connector," a public sculpture for the Governor Smith Houses in New York's Chinatown, and a proposed permanent architectural work to be created in Greece based on ancient Greek motifs.

Black American Heritage Foundation
The purpose of BAHF is to document, preserve and disseminate information about the accomplishments of African Americans; assist young people to develop educationally, culturally, morally and socially; and inculcate in our young the spirit of good citizenship and full awareness of the cultural heritage of African Americans.

Black and White Project Space
Black and White Project Space is committed to the production, presentation and promotion of site-specific installations that are under-represented in commercial galleries because of their scope, content or production costs.

Blackout Arts Collective
Blackout Arts Collective (BAC) is a grassroots coalition of artists, activists and educators working to empower communities of color by using the arts to raise awareness and mobilize action around the critical issues that impact our communities nationwide. We believe in the power of art and the creative process to transform lives and build a more just society. We use the tools of culture and education to catalyze action and participation in community organizing efforts. BAC strives to develop a national network of artists and activists of color, organized in community-based chapters, to foster social change in collaboration with other social justice groups and campaigns.

Cartoonists Rights Network
The Cartoonists Rights Network's mission is to protect and support editorial cartoonists in the world who have become the victims of human or freedom of speech rights abuses.

CBD Music
CBD Music, Inc. seeks to advance public interest in, and understanding of, the musical arts through the presentation and promotion of new music. CBD Music, Inc. intends to present public concerts, commission new works and support ensembles that perform new works. CBD Music, Inc also intends to present lectures, discussions, classes and workshops for musicians and for the general public.

Center For Improvisational Music, Inc.
The Center for Improvisational Music is a core group of professional musician/teachers committed to creating a school in New York City for emerging improvisers who want to pursue a serious study of improvised music. Our goal is to offer an affordable alternative to traditional music schools by creating an environment that has at its core interaction between students and working musicians. We strive for diversity in our student body, to give public concerts and to engage in community outreach.

Choros International Projects, Inc.
Choros International Projects, Inc. supports, promotes and facilitates deliberation and dialogue on social, cultural, and international issues by organizing public arts presentations and exhibitions, producing free workshops and seminars, and administering exchange programs - bringing together artists, scholars and other professionals.

Circumference
CIRCUMFERENCE, a journal of poetry in translation, presents new work from around the globe, new visions of classical poems, and translations of little known foreign language poets of the past. the journal prints all poems in the original language alongside their English translations. CIRCUMFERENCE supports those engaged in the art of translation and works to expose American audiences to the poetry of other languages through publication and events, showing translation as a vibrant, necessary interaction.

Classical Domain
Classical Domain seeks to provide the most complete coverage of classical music and opera events in New York City. We are a web based organization that brings important content to new audiences.

Cuban Artists Fund, Inc.
CAF was established in New York City in 1998 to help foster the vitality and spirit of Cuban artists in Cuba and throughout the Diaspora community and to raise global awareness and understanding of Cuban cultural achievement. CAF supports Cuban artists in the performing, visual, music and literary arts and seeks to build bridges and better understanding among American and Cuban artists, arts professionals, and academics.

Cycle Arts Foundation
The Cycle Arts Foundation is a multi-disciplinary arts collaborative created in 1978. Writers, visual and performing artists, as well as non-artists explore the personal, social, and political issues that affect human relations. The Foundation makes art available to the general community through workshops, classes, exhibitions, performances and publications.

DanceTracks NYC, Inc.
DanceTracks NYC provides opportunities for dancers to create and perform work and provides the public with a greater appreciation of contemporary dance expressed through the individual artistic voice. DanceTracks NYC accomplishes this by promoting the work of individual artists, producing public performances and conducting dance outreach activities in neighborhoods and communities.

Drumsongs Productions, Inc.
Drumsongs Productions, Inc. is a cultural arts organization that seeks to provide general audiences with the experiences of Africans and of Africans in the Diaspora. These experiences are focused on the exposure of family and school audiences to multi-disciplinary creative and interpretive art forms relating the cultural heritage of African aesthetic appreciation of the traditional cultures of Africa and cultures of African descent throughout the world. Drumsongs Productions, Inc. currently feature three culture arts programs; The Akyene Baako Ensemble; Talking Drums - the instrument of Africa; and The African Craftsman - traditional drum carving.

Flo-Bert, Ltd.
Flo-Bert presents and preserves authentic black vaudeville and tap dance, and is creating an archive of black theatrical history. The group presents an annual event as part of National Tap Dance Day, including a large-scale theatrical performance honoring tap greats, and in addition, free tap events throughout the city.

14 Sculptors Gallery
14 Sculptors, Inc. is an artist run, non-profit organization that was established in 1973 in the SoHo district of New York. The organization's mission is to create a forum for experimental sculpture, free from the constraints of the commercial viewpoint. 14 Sculptors focuses on the following objectives: provide the opportunity to members and invited artists to exhibit original artworks (sculpture) on a regular basis; meet regularly with other professionals for discussion and artistic exchange and; actively stimulate dialogue between the community, the artists and critical review.

Forever & Today, Inc.
Forever & Today, Inc. extends unique opportunities for contemporary artists to create new work and engage diverse audiences through exhibitions, performances, publications, educational programs and special projects. Currently inhabiting a 100-square foot storefront on the cusp between New York's Lower East Side and Chinatown, Forever and Today is an organization with no fixed identity and a playful sensibility that focuses on a site-specific collaboration with a single artist.

Friends of E-1027, Inc.
An American Committee created to assist in the purchase, restoration, and maintenance of the villa designed and built by the famed designer Eileen Gray in association with Jean Badovici in Roquebrune,Cap Martin, France.

Friends of the Adriatic Chamber Music Festival
The Friends of the ACMF believe the study of chamber music is essential to the growth of all musicians, and seeks to support aspiring professionals in the study of this valuable art form. By providing scholarships for music students to attend the ACMF, we will aid the Festival's renowned faculty in maintaining a program in which students pursue the highest level of musicianship.

The Gowanus Studio Space
The Gowanus Studio offers space, equipment and much-needed support to emerging designers, artists and craftspeople.Located in the historically industrial neighborhood along the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, The Studio houses a large industrial arts works.

Great Marsh Ltd.
Our mission is to raise social consciousness through literature and the arts and to cultivate this awareness by creating a forum for dialogue between cultures and communities in the U.S. and abroad. We will build this forum by concurrently publishing emerging and extablished Americanand International writers who address issues of gender, race violence, age, sexuality, and socio-economic relations.

Heidi Latsky Dance
To bring the highly technical and physically adventurous choreographic work of Heidi Latsky to the public and promote modern dance as a widely accessible non - elite art form.

Intelligent Agent
Intelligent Agent is a service organization and information provider dedicated to interpreting and promoting art that uses digital technologies for production and presentation. Intelligent Agent is dedicated to increasing the visibility of this work within and art context by documenting and interpreting it and making it accessible to the art world at large.

International Studio of Music
The mission of the International School of Music (ISM) is to advance the public understanding of music of diverse styles and cultures. ISM offers instruction and performances to our community, and to the international music community at large. It also offers classes, lectures, workshops and educational performances, and has started a sponsorship program to provide promising underprivileged students with lessons and instruments.

International Women's Writing Guild
Founded in 1976, the International Women's Writing Guild (IWWG) is a network for the personal and professional empowerment of women through writing. Services include opportunities to participate in regional and national writing conferences, a bi-monthly newsletter, access to a list of literary agents and health insurance at group rates.

Land-Grant College Review
The Land-Grant college is an independent literary magazine with a clear and important goal: to publish the highest caliber contemporary literature in a journal in which attention to detail is held to the same exceedingly high standards as its editorial content.

The Laundromat Project
The Laundromat Project is a community based art center located in a fully functional Laundromat. By using the laundromat as a space to host a variety of socially-relevant arts and education programs, the Laundromat project seeks to increase participation in both visual art and social change, particularly in communities of color who have been underserved by mainstream art institutions.

Legacy Performing Arts
Legacy Performing Arts is dedicated to producing superior quality theater for and with elders. By connecting generations together through the production of live theater, Legacy Performing Arts seeks to change society's perception of the aging and create viable work.

Museum Mile
Museum Mile was created in 1978 as a consortium to assist its nine member museums in developing audiences and support for the arts. The annual Museum Mile Festival was created to further promote public awareness of the nine museum members through increased visibility, accessiblility and attendance. The success of the consortium and the annual event resulted in the official designation of Fifth Avenue from 82nd to 104th Streets as "Museum Mile" - further emphasizing this area as one of the city's most important cultural resources.

New Africa Live
New Africa Live aims to carve out a cultural space of belonging for contemporary African artists by producing multidisciplinary arts events that entertain, educate and create awareness of the value of African culture in a globalized world.

New York City Arts Coalition
The New York City Arts Coalition develops and recommends public policy on cultural issues, advocates on behalf of city nonprofit arts groups for expanded public funding, monitors government activity affecting artists and arts groups and educates the general public to enhance better understanding of arts and culture.

New York Creates
New York Creates undertakes educational activities and a comprehensive community development strategty, especially for low wealth and immigrant communities in New York, that includes economic development and job training through the creation of traditional and contemporary crafts and hand-made objects.

New York Swing Dance Society, Inc.
The New York Swing Dance Society is dedicated to the revival of swing dancing in the "Lindy Hop" style first popularized during the 1930's. The Society will present and promote dances where the public can participate in the experience of swing dancing to live Big Band music. Society members will also perform and demonstrate the dance both at Society dances and external events, but the Society's main focus is on the creation and growth of a community of active dancers who appreciate swing music.

O.P. Art (Organization of Puerto Rican Artists, Inc.)
To provide for the exposure of new artists and an outlet by which Puerto Rican artists and their art can let themselves be known. To give artists a comfortable environment in which the true expression of the art can be represented and self-expression.

The Panoply Performance Laboratory
Following a mission to whip up mass participation in the distribution of the sensible, understand conceptual genealogies, socio-political structures and performance itself, PPL creates music-driven, documentary-based performance works with a diverse array of collaborators.

Parthenia
Parthenia, a consort of viols, is dedicated to performing the rich repertoire for viola da gamba. Our mission is accomplished by: an annual series of concerts in Manhattan, where we collaborate with esteemed guest artists, presenting engaging and surprising programs; commissions of new works for viols, employing singers and other instrumentalists; and presenting the viol's cultural heritage by touring to historical venues throughout New York City and to prestigious venues around the country.

Persian Arts Festival
The Persian Arts Festival is an arts and cultural organization whose mission is to highlight the magnificence and diversity of Persian art and culture with the community at large. Our goal is to support and showcase emerging and established artists, voices and visionaries of today while honoring ancient Persian traditions and holidays like Norooz and the Persian New Year, which corresponds to the Spring Equinox.

The Precipice Alliance
The mission of the Precipice Alliance is to increase awareness of the global effects of climate change. To do so, the Alliance will fund high-profile, innovative public art works that will address this increasingly urgent matter, while simultaneously functioning as an educational and informational forum.

Reading Between A&B
Reading A & B is a poetry reading series dedicated to giving established and emerging poets a space to read and engage in the art of poetry.

The Red Fern Theater Company
To incite positive change in our community by producing socially conscious plays while partnering with philanthropies whose mission seeks to assist those affected by the issues addressed in the play. A portion of the proceeds from each play produced is donated to the designated philanthropy. We also educate our audience about the philanthropy prior to each show.

Regency Arts Press
Regency Arts Press is dedicated to publishing artists' books with American contemporary artists. We are primarily committed to fostering experimentation and innovation by giving artists opportunities to work outside of the concerns and constraints of the commercial art marketplace.

The Riot Group
To create original theatrical works, through innovative dramatic writing and consistent ensemble acting, which explores relationships between history, language and identity; to educate the general public in historical and emergent theatrical techniques; to uphold and maintain a diverse ensemble of theatrical artists and collaborators; to reach out to new audiences nationally and internationally; and to advocate as artists and citizens for the advancement of the performing arts and arts education.

Rubi Theater Company
An ensemble of artists, writers, and educators performing original works from within the company and by other Latinos living in the United States. Rubi presents a new-edge theater rich in imagery and bold in movement the performs stories with excitement, urgency and a fresh take on present issues. Rubi theater mentors and promotes up and coming artists and Latino playwrights. With experienced teaching artists on board, Rubi tours their theater exchanging ideas and building bridges through workshops in schools, universities and neighboring communities.

Rush Dance A Foundation, Inc.
Rush Dance A Foundation's mission is to bring the excitement, intrinsic pleasures and communicative possibilities of movement to the general public making dance more accessible, by developing technology that will integrate choreography with the mediums of film, television, computer animation and live spontaneously interactive events.

Share is a weekly assemblage of portable computing, that is providing an open forum, in real-life, for data exchange und media performance. Patrones are encouraged to show and exchange ideas freely, giving each other feedback, catalyzing and developing techniques and philosophies in New Media.

Slowlab
SlowLab's mission is to be a laboratory for the advancement of slow design thinking practice serving design education, professional designers, and general public. SlowLab's programs actively address the ecological, socio-cultural and personal impacts of design: engendering public awareness of "slow design" through a series of public events and exhibitions, while challenging forth "positive slowness" from the design community through academic programs and a dynamic online project observatory with dialoguing facilities and comprehensive resources.

s.u.n.Arts
s.u.n.Arts is a not for profit arts organization based in New York City dedicated to bringing emerging artists and groundbreaking artistic ideas to the public through art exhibits, publications, projects, and the web. Our main areas of focus are urban art, artist's products, art in design, and art by women. By using a multidisciplinary approach, we hope to enable a wide range of people to experience art.

Thonmi Center, Inc.
Our mission is to help Tibetan people preserve their cultural heritage. We will do this through rescuing, preserving and republishing endangered ancient texts, by publishing examples of their literature, poetry, biographies, dictionaries, and encyclopedia.

TONK
TONK is an interdisciplinary collective dedicated to commissioning and performing collaborative works by emerging composer, lyricists, visual artists, and choreographers. TONK is comprised of artists hailing from both Amsterdam and New York, the group reflects on an international outlook and appeals to a wide variety of audiences. TONK's musicians are adept at both jazz and contemporary music and are fluent improvisers.

Urban Art Beat
We believe that creative expression through the hip-hop arts has the potential to enhance the mind, spirit and artistic energy of children and young adults and engage them in shaping a vision for their community's future.

Watson Arts
Watson Arts is a theater company that develops and presents original, innovative theater with a particular emphasis on women.

Youth Arts New York
Youth Arts New York provides interdisciplinary encounters in the Arts that inspire youth to be of service to a healthy and peaceful planet for present and future generations. Partnership programs include A Living Library on Roosvelt Island, the Work that reconnects with Joanna Macy, ANna Halprin's Planetary Dance, New York Theatre Workshop, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture Jamaica High School After school Arts Workshops and the power of Hope Youth Empowerment programs.
